I’ve finally made a decision (I think)

Remember over two years ago when I bought those two chairs off Kijiji? My plan was to reupholster them, and well, that hasn’t happened. Yup – it’s been two years and I haven’t done anything about them in all that time. I think that makes me the ultimate in DIY blogger failures – two years of inactivity on a project – that’s just bad. Also, these lovely (and I use that term quite loosely) chairs have been sitting as is in my living room ever since I got them – I didn’t even do the smart thing and hide them away. You should know I’m literally hanging my head in shame as I’m typing.

Love the idea of painting the chair grey.

ReplyDeleteI also like the grey, or even the lighter white/cream in the stripe... though you could be daring and paint it to match the purple. :)

That fabric is de-lish! but I am also eyeing that pile of samples. there are some gorgeous options in there too for other projects! I like the wood finish with that fabric so I dont know what colour to suggest! white or black? Maybe reupholster first and the answer will come to you!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choice! As for paint, I think a greyish white would look great, but I think a deep purple would look even better and it's definitely a more exciting choice. If you're going to go to all the work of refinishing them, I say go all out!
