New York City and Jonathan Adler
May 09, 2012
On the Easter weekend my boyfriend and I took a little road-trip to a little city just down the road. By just down the road I mean 800km down the road. And by little city I mean the Big Apple - New York City. I'd been once before for my high school grad trip (we're not going to discuss how many years ago that was), and I was rather excited to return.
We saw all the normal touristy things Grand Central station, the Empire State building, Times Square, Macy's, we rode the Staten Island ferry at night to see the Statue of Liberty, walked down 5th ave. (I went into Tiffany's, but D wouldn't even go past the front doors), ate in Little Italy, were driven around Central park, we went to Ground Zero, and visited the Wall St bull.

The Jonathan Adler store in Soho. Sigh - I love Jonathan Adler's designs. Everything is so fun, colourful and quirky. (Psst- Jonathan you need a store in Canada!)
I asked very nicely and the lovely salespeople let me take some pictures of the many gorgeous things they had in the store - and now I'm sharing them with you!

ReplyDeleteThose vases, the lamps....love it all.
We are huge fans of Jonathan Adler. Nadia just scored some cute JA vases from Homesense recently - pics are on the blog. They may still be available, you should check it out.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Oh great - another reason to visit HomeSense! That place is way too dangerous for my bank account!
ReplyDeleteoh mine! Do love those antique faux bamboo brass chairs! My trouble is how to get them back to Toronto and of course that heavy price tag. I have 5 days to decide what to do next! Will keep you posted :)
